I let this wine breath for nearly 2 days and it made such a difference. From one of my favorite McLaren Vale producers and I even helped pick some of the grapes that went into this one.

A different blend from a really good producer and you will need to check out the video to see the little twist I have in store for this wine.
From a newly tried winery 111 Associates have moved their cellar door to Foggo Road. The GSM blend is one of many good reds.
What an interesting wine – the 2009 Ruffilli Estates Ambition McLaren Vale Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. What was so interesting was just how improved this wine was by allowing it to breathe. Such a dramatic change. Check out my comments.
One of the McLaren Vale Scarce Earth Project wines released earlier this year. Made from a small family block between McLaren Vale and McLaren Flat, this wine shows fruit dominate character. Very enjoyable and it leaves you wanting more.
Join me in tasting this excellent expression of the Mataro (or Mourvèdre) from a new wine label in town – Ducks in a Row. The wine label is new but the winemaker is very experienced and is looking at using little known or alternative varieties. In this case it is a beauty.
It looks like I have got the numbering wrong for recent videos – I hope this gets us back on track.
In terms of this Cabernet and in one word – smooth. This Cabernet has all the classic features and is just so seamless. Join with me on this journey of discovery.
This week I am sharing with you one of my favourite wines that I have been enjoying over the last few years. The Valletta. A Grenache Shiraz blend and 6 years old. Wonderful wine and great value at $30 a bottle.
This recently organic accredited vineyard and winery consistently over delivers and this wine is no exception. Check out my thoughts of this good Shiraz from an excellent vintage.
I have been watching Corey and his part time wine making to produce a single vineyard Shiraz just off the main road of McLaren Vale. I think each of the last 3 years he has produced a better wine each year. Some of this is due to the vintage variation but I also believe he is understanding his vineyard and winery better.
